INTRODUCTION

I've been interested in Mandelbrot sets for a number of years but finallu decided this year to have a go at writing a simple Mandelbrot viewer that used fast assembly maths routines for the high precision arithmetic needed to do deep zooms into the Mandelbrot set.

This turned out to be a fascinating journey with Microsoft Visual Studio learning (or relearning from 20+ years ago) C++ and assembler code.  I've decided to publish the results of my efforts in the hope that they prove useful to others as well as sharing some of the videos and images I have generated whilst exploring the Mandelbrot (and power) sets.
